The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the common areas were well-maintained. Plus, there were plenty of cats around to keep me company! The location was great, within walking distance of the city center and the train station. And the beds were surprisingly comfortable for a budget option.
The facilities were a bit run-down and could use some updating. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, so I had to rely on my own data.

We stayed at this budget-friendly hostel with our large family and it turned out to be a great choice. The hostel is conveniently located about a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest airport, making it easy to access with our kids and all our luggage. The double twin room we booked was comfortable and the manager even provided us with a heater and extra blankets to keep us warm during the winter season. The shower had hot water, which was a big plus for us. The WiFi signal was strong both in our room and outside, allowing us to stay connected. The manager was incredibly helpful, offering us tips on avoiding local scams and recommending the best places to visit. He even gave us a small going away gift, which was a lovely gesture. our family had a great experience and we highly recommend this hostel.
For families with children, it would be great if the hostel had more kid-friendly amenities or activities to keep them entertained during the stay.

I loved the lovely conversations coming from the office next to my room, it made for a delightful ambiance. And the lack of a fan or AC really helped me appreciate the authentic Moroccan heat, so refreshing!
Who needs a personal key to the outside world anyway? Such an overrated concept.

I recently stayed at the Youth Hostel in Fez for 3 nights during my trip to Morocco. The location was perfect, situated between the old medina and the modern city center. The hostel has a beautiful garden and the host, Abdullah, was kind and welcoming. The common areas, both indoors and outdoors, were calm and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The double rooms with shared bathrooms were ideal for couples on a budget. The "not smoking room" was quiet and perfect for working. my stay at the Youth Hostel was a 10/10 and I felt right at home. Thanks, Anas and Sanae!
Can recommend this hotel.
